The Last Simulation of 2020: Grand Finals Edition
Here come my last predictions of the season! You can find out more about my methodology here; that’s a long read, but this will be comparatively short.
[table “130” not found /]Unsurprisingly, San Francisco comes out on top nearly half the time. That’s due to the Shock having the best SAMP among the final four teams and squaring off against the lowest-ranked team in the first round, Seoul. That gives San Fran about an 87% chance of winning in round one, as compared to Shanghai, which has just a slight edge (52% to 48%) over Philadelphia.
For the sake of completeness, San Francisco also has a 55% edge over Philadelphia and 53% over Shanghai. The Dragons have 86% odds to beat Seoul, while Philadelphia would win 85% of the time.
Now watch Seoul sweep everything and prove us all wrong.
In any case, enjoy yourself this weekend!
